As a student I was hungry to learn drawing and painting. Sometimes I would spend countless hours in the library of my community college, reading and absorbing the writings of Leonardo Da Vinci, books on Classical painting and techniques of old masters. I would go out and search anywhere I can to find the knowledge and resources that would aid me in my own art. As an educator, I have put a resource for my students that is constantly growing and evolving. It is where I share my finds, videos, lessons, Museums and anything that relates to art – ArtThropology has become a useful source for my students and I’m sharing it with you. You can find it at www.artthropology.com

Andrew Loomis

Here are some books by a famous american illustrator, Andrew Loomis, who had a huge impact on my approach to drawing and painting. I have referred back to these books many, many times and find them not only educational, but also a source of inspiration.
